Excellent Resources is the Canadian Distributor for the Institute for  Excellence in Writing, a highly effective, award-winning writing program by its Director, Andrew Pudewa, based on the "Blended Structure and Style" program of teaching writing by J.B. Webster Ph.D.

Carrying the full range of IEW's product line, Excellent Resources has developed additional support materials unique to the Canadian market, and further expanded into Professional Development of Parents and Teachers through a variety of live seminars, training events and Summer writing courses.

Webster's Academy for Excellence in Writing 

For students who enjoy the convenience of on-demand, hybrid online courses,
 Excellent Resources has partnered with Dr. J.B. Webster,  
the author of "Blended Structure and Style," 
Webster's hybrid programs offers short modules of
pre-recorded online courses and recorded classes
teaching through the nine Units of Dr. Webster's writing program.
Students interact with a live teacher who marks their assignments
and guides them through their lessons.

J.B. Webster, Ph.D.

The writing system developed by Dr. Webster spans more than half a century of classroom implementation and development. From a one-room log schoolhouse in Northern Saskatchewan teaching fifty-five students in grades one through ten, to training Ph.D. candidates at prestigious universities, Dr. Webster brings a rare breadth of experience, wisdom and simplicity to the discipline of writing. 

Andrew Pudewa

The director of the Institute for Excellence in Writing and a father of seven, Andrew Pudewa travels and speaks around the world, addressing issues related to teaching, writing, thinking, spelling, and music with clarity, insight, practical experience, and humour. His seminars for parents, students, and teachers have helped transform many a reluctant writer and have equipped educators with powerful tools to dramatically improve students’ skills.
