Recorded live, this entertaining and informative DVD writing course for students by Andrew Pudewa presents structural models and stylistic techniques based on IEW's Teaching Writing: Structure and Style Seminar. Each group (A, B or C) presumes no previous experience; levels differ mainly in the type of source texts used, speed of presentation, and sophistication of vocabulary. Choose the level based on your child's age and maturity rather than writing ability.
For the self-motivated student and an aid for parents, the SWI and Continuation Courses are the ideal vehicle to learn the Excellence in Writing Program.
The DVDs teach directly to the students at their grade level.
The accompanying Workbooks act as a guide through the DVDs, offering several additional practice exercises not included on the DVDs.
Expanded into 15 weeks of lessons with approximately 4 lessons per week, each workbook supplements the SWI with 60 additonal assignments for additional practice with the concepts taught on the DVD's.
These assignments feature Canadian content ranging from "Canadian animals" to "Canadian history" from which to write, complete with checklists for each assignment.
Parents and teachers have found these extremely valuable as ready-made lesson plans which enable them to jump-start the writing process immediately.
For families with more than one student, there is no need to purchase more than one DVD series. You can simply order an additional workbook for each student
